H27R 4004-8-6 delivers high energy savings during continuous operation because this 700 rpm electric motor in the HV class combines an output of 500 kW with efficiency of 94,9 % and a power factor of 0,84. In practice, this means lower thermal losses over long operating cycles, more stable drive operation and more favorable operating costs under loads where both economy and line availability are important.
Economical operation at high output
For energy-intensive technologies, it is important that a three-phase electric motor keeps operating losses under control even under continuous load. The H27R-HD-Modular series in this version uses a concept that supports long-term efficiency in high-power applications while maintaining sufficient torque reserve for starts with high inertia.
Welded steel frame for stability and easier handling
The motor design uses a welded steel frame that provides high rigidity at a more favorable weight than comparable cast-iron solutions. Package weight of 2910 kg requires well-planned logistics, but the steel frame facilitates transport and installation of large units while helping maintain mounting precision during long-term operation.
Winding and bearing protection for reliable operation
H27R-HD-Modular motors are prepared as standard for temperature monitoring and anti-condensation protection. The stator winding is equipped with PT100 sensors, the bearings are monitored separately and PTC thermistors help detect undesirable heating in time. The equipment also includes 230 V heating, which supports stable starting after shutdown and protects the motor interior in demanding environments.
Sizing for starting, power supply and torque reserve
This eight-pole electric motor reaches a rated torque of 6435 Nm, rated current of 60,6 A and rated speed of 742 rpm. When designing starting, it is necessary to account for starting torque reaching 1 times the rated torque, breakdown torque 2 times the rated torque and starting current 5 times the rated current. For power supply and protection on a 6000 V network, rotor inertia of 36,0 kg·m² and load inertia of 1970,0 kg·m² should therefore also be taken into account.
Design data that facilitate integration into technology
Insulation class F together with temperature rise class B provides reserve for more demanding operating modes. DE bearing 6326-C3 and NDE bearing 6326-C3 support high-output operation and precise rotor mounting, which is important when connected to gearboxes, pumps, compressors and large fan units.
Typical use in large industrial units
H27R 4004-8-6 is used wherever stable output, reliable energy efficiency and long-term operation in demanding environments are required. Typical applications include:
- Main pumps in water and process stations.
- Compressor units for compressed air in manufacturing plants.
- Fans for cooling towers and extraction systems.
