Electric motor 1AL-100L2-4 from the 1AL OPTIMAL series is a three-phase asynchronous electric motor designed for operations where the drive is expected to provide regular engagement, reliable operation, and seamless integration into a production unit. It operates at a power of 3 kW, a rated voltage of 230/400 V, connection Delta/Y, and at a frequency of 50 Hz reaches 1420 rpm. The four-pole design gives the motor a balanced operating character, making it suitable for technologies with longer running times as well as for equipment with repeated starts during the working cycle.

It is precisely at this power level that the motor often forms an important driving part of the entire line. The 1AL-100L2-4 model therefore performs well in conveyor systems, packaging and filling lines, mixing assemblies, fan units, pumping modules, dosing equipment, sorting workplaces, handling technologies, closing machines, feed mechanisms, recycling lines, and automated production units. In these applications, it is important that the drive can operate for long periods without fluctuations while maintaining compact dimensions suitable for a 100 mm frame, that is, a 100 mm shaft height.

Where 3 kW shows in practice

Power of 3 kW provides a noticeable reserve for machines that transfer a regular working load but still require a reasonably compact drive. The rated current is 11.1 A at 230 V and 6.4 A at 400 V, which is important when designing the power supply, protection, and the integration of the motor into the technology itself. Rated speed of 1420 rpm is suitable for equipment where smooth mechanical transmission is required without an unnecessarily abrupt operating character. For conveyors, mixers, pumps, or fan modules, such an operating profile has clear value.

The motor operates with an efficiency of 82.6 % and a power factor of 0.82. The starting behaviour is also important. The ratio of starting torque reaches 2.3, the ratio of pull-out torque 2.3, and the ratio of starting current 7. In operation, this helps in technologies where the equipment is regularly started, transfers working load in repeated batches, or must maintain a certain run-up without unnecessary shocks. The load type with a parabolic or linear load characteristic extends usability in mechanisms with changing resistance, in media flow, and in the movement of material in the line cycle.

Construction prepared for industrial environments

VYBO Electric builds the 1AL OPTIMAL series as a low-voltage solution in an aluminium frame for standard as well as more demanding operations. For the 1AL-100L2-4 model, the IP55 protection rating is important, helping to protect the internal parts of the motor from dust and splashing water. Mechanical certainty and smooth running

On both the DE and NDE sides, 6206-2Z bearings are fitted. Lubrication is provided by No. 2 lithium-based grease in the relevant temperature class. Balancing with a half key is important when fitting pulleys, couplings, and other power transmission elements, where even running and a reliable mechanical connection matter. Noise level of 64 dB(A) and vibration of 2.8 mm/s in class A support a balanced mechanical performance, which is especially important in technologies with longer running times and in lines where multiple drives operate side by side.

The motor is suitable for DOL starting, frequency inverter control, and a soft starter. This makes it possible to adapt the run-up and operation to the specific requirements of the equipment. Rotation direction is possible in both directions, which broadens the range of use in reversing mechanisms, bidirectional feed systems, and technological units where the working direction changes according to the phase of the process. Practical significance also lies in the rotor moment of inertia of 0.0067 kg·m², which helps maintain a certain response in applications with regular starting, stopping, or a short working step.

Ready for installation and everyday use

For electrical connection, 2-M25X1.5 cable glands are prepared. The packed weight of 25 kg and packed dimensions of 405 × 230 × 295 mm make storage, transport, and service handling easier. Practical elements of the 1AL OPTIMAL platform also include features such as a reinforced terminal box, improved IP55 terminal box cover sealing, a steel fan cover, and compatible feet. During installation, versions IM B3, IM B35, IM B5, IM B14, IM B34 can be used, which simplifies integration into different types of structures.
