Electric motor 1AL-71M2-4 for regular operation of production and handling units
Electric motor 1AL-71M2-4 from the 1AL OPTIMAL series is a three-phase asynchronous electric motor with an output of 0.37 kW, a rated voltage of 230/400 V and Delta/Star connection. At a frequency of 50 Hz it reaches a rated speed of 1340 rpm and operates in a 4-pole design. The 71 mm frame, that is an shaft height of 71 mm, is suitable for machines and technological modules where a compact drive installation, good mounting accessibility and reliable operation during repeated work cycles are required.
This model is naturally used in belt conveyors, dosing units, packaging equipment, labelling modules, sorting mechanisms, lighter mixing assemblies, fan units, pumping modules, feed systems, closing mechanisms, laboratory equipment and automated workplaces. In such operations it is important that the motor runs evenly, can be integrated into the line without difficulty and handles longer operation as well as repeated starting without an unnecessarily rough mechanical response.
Power level suitable for compact industrial machines
The output of 0.37 kW is a practical choice where the drive must already have a noticeable reserve for regular operation, while still retaining a compact size and simple mounting. With a rated current of 1.91 A at 230 V and 1.1 A at 400 V, the motor integrates well into standard industrial systems. An efficiency of 67 % and a power factor of 0.75 support balanced operation in equipment where the drive works for long periods as a stable part of the machine.
During start-up it is important that the torque ratio reaches 2.2, the breakdown torque ratio 2.1 and the starting current ratio 5.2. In practice this helps with equipment that is started regularly, carries lighter to medium loads and must maintain predictable behaviour without unnecessary shocks. The load type with a parabolic or linear load characteristic also broadens usability in technologies with changing resistance, in material movement and in work with flowing media.
Quiet operation in technologies that run every day
In smaller and medium-sized machines, every inaccuracy, excessive noise or unwanted vibration shows quickly. The 1AL-71M2-4 model therefore stands out with a noise level of 55 dB(A) and vibrations at 2.8 mm/s in class A. Such a design supports smooth line operation and helps limit the transfer of oscillations into the equipment frame. In sorting modules, packaging machines, conveyors or transfer mechanisms, a quiet mechanical response is also important for the stability of the entire technology.
The rotor moment of inertia of 0.0013 kg·m² is also important. In operations with regular starting, stopping or short working sequences, it contributes to a good drive response. In repeated dosing, step feed or periodic material transfer, this characteristic has a direct impact on smoothness and repeatability of the work cycle.
Resistance to dust, heat and normal loading
1AL-71M2-4 has IP55 protection, which helps protect the internal parts of the motor from dust and splashing water. This is practical in operations where materials are handled, packaged, sorted or where the drive is located in technical units with a higher occurrence of contaminants. Cooling IC411 supports a stable thermal regime and the frame of the 1AL OPTIMAL series is designed for effective heat dissipation.
The motor uses insulation class F and temperature rise B. It is intended for ambient temperatures up to +65 °C and an altitude of up to 1000 m. The service factor 1.0 and the operating modes S1, S2, S3, S4-S9 allow use in continuous operation as well as in intermittent processes. This is useful in operations where one machine runs without interruption and another carries out repeated sequences according to the line rhythm or the control requirement.
Mechanical mounting and control in line with industrial practice
The DE and NDE sides are fitted with 6202-2Z bearings. Lubrication is provided by No. 2 lithium-based grease in the appropriate temperature class. Balancing with a half key supports reliable mounting of pulleys, couplings and other power transmission elements. When fitting mechanical parts, even running is important for long-term stability and the smooth behaviour of the entire assembly.
The motor is suitable for DOL starting, for control by a frequency converter and also for a soft starter. Thanks to this, it can be adapted to both simpler and more demanding operating requirements. The motor can rotate in either direction, which extends use in reversing mechanisms, bidirectional feeds and technological units where the working direction changes according to the process phase. For electrical connection, 2-M20X1.5 cable glands are prepared.
The 1AL OPTIMAL series as a proven solution for industry
The 1AL OPTIMAL series is one of VYBO Electric’s best-selling ranges, with more than 30,000 units installed in industry. 1AL OPTIMAL is among the best-selling electric motors from VYBO Electric. It is a professional low-voltage solution in an aluminium frame for standard as well as demanding operations, with very good value for money, proven quality and high compatibility. More than 30,000 units are installed in industry, which confirms that the series has been proven over the long term in real operation. For mounting, the versions IM B3, IM B35, IM B5, IM B14, IM B34 can be used.
The logistics aspect is also practical. The packaged weight is 6.3 kg and the packaging dimensions are 260 × 170 × 215 mm, so handling during mounting, storage and service replacement remains simple. The electric motor 1AL-71M2-4 is therefore a suitable choice for operations that need a compact three-phase drive with IP55 protection, balanced running and a reliable technical basis for everyday industrial use.
