Shaft height 112 mm for drives that already carry a solid production load
Electric motor 1AL-112M-4 from the 1AL OPTIMAL series is a three-phase asynchronous electric motor intended for operations where the drive must work stably, without unnecessary fluctuations and with confidence under longer loading. The output of 4 kW, rated voltage of 400/690 V and 4-pole design create a reliable basis for technologies in which a noticeable working load is already transmitted. At a frequency of 50 Hz, the motor achieves rated speed of 1435 rpm. The shaft height of 112 mm corresponds to equipment where firm mechanical mounting, reasonable installation space and long-term operational reliability are expected.
This model naturally suits conveyor lines, packaging and filling lines, fan assemblies, pumping stations, mixing units, dosing technologies, sorting workplaces, handling systems, recycling lines, feed mechanisms, closing devices, as well as stand-alone production units with a regular working rhythm. In such applications, it is important that the motor can maintain stable operation throughout the entire shift and fit well into the machine design without the need for an excessively robust solution.
Why this output is important in practical operation
At an output of 4 kW, the motor is no longer just an auxiliary part of the equipment, but often carries a substantial part of the working load of the entire technology. The rated current is 8.36 A at 400 V and 4.85 A at 690 V, which is an important value when designing the electrical connection and selecting protective devices. Efficiency of 84.2 % and power factor of 0.82 support balanced operation where the drive works regularly throughout the shift or is repeatedly engaged in the production cycle.
Motor starting is defined by a starting torque ratio of 2.3, a breakdown torque ratio of 2.3 and a starting current ratio of 7. In technologies with repeated starting, this provides a clear run-up and stable engagement without unnecessarily erratic behaviour. The load type with a parabolic or linear load characteristic broadens use in applications where resistance changes according to the movement of the mechanism, according to the flow of the medium, or according to the nature of the processed material. Also important is the rotor moment of inertia of 0.0095 kg·m², which supports a reliable response in operations with dosing, regular feed or a sequential working cycle.
Motor for environments where work is done daily and without unnecessary downtime
In production halls and technical units, the drive is often exposed to dust, heat, long running times and regular mechanical stress. 1AL-112M-4 has an IP55 rating, which helps protect the internal parts of the motor from dust and splashing water. This is practical in material handling equipment, during packaging, pumping, in air handling systems and in operations with regular cleaning of the technology. Thermal stability is ensured by IC411 cooling, which supports reliable operation under longer working load.
The motor uses insulation class F and temperature rise B. It is designed for ambient temperatures up to +65 °C and for altitudes up to 1000 m. The service factor of 1.0 and duty types S1, S2, S3, S4-S9 allow use in continuous operation as well as in intermittent processes. In production, where one machine runs continuously and another starts regularly according to the line cycle, this is a very important operational advantage. Noise of 65 dB(A) and a vibration velocity of 2.8 mm/s in class A help maintain a balanced mechanical performance even under longer loading.
Mechanical mounting that supports the stability of the whole assembly
On both the DE and NDE sides, 6306-2Z bearings are fitted. Lubrication is provided by No. 2 lithium-based grease in the relevant temperature class. Balancing with half key is important when fitting pulleys, couplings and other power transmission elements, where smooth running and reliable mechanical connection are significant. The motor can rotate in either direction, which broadens application possibilities in reversing mechanisms, bidirectional feeds and technologies where the working direction changes according to the process phase.
The motor is suitable for DOL starting, for control by frequency converter and also for a soft starter. This provides freedom when choosing the starting method and adapting operation to the specific equipment. For electrical connection, 2-M32X1.5 cable glands are prepared. Handling during transport and servicing is also practical. The packaged weight reaches 29 kg and the packaging dimensions are 420 × 245 × 310 mm.
