The H17R 355-B-8-6 electric motor with an output of 220 kW is designed for operations where energy efficiency, load stability and long service intervals are monitored. In this power class, a 750 rpm electric motor is suitable wherever the drive must have smooth starting, low losses and predictable behaviour in continuous operation. VYBO Electric has long operated as the largest company in its sector in Central Europe.
IE4 efficiency for demanding 750 rpm electric motor drives
IE4 Super Premium efficiency reduces energy losses in applications where every kilowatt-hour enters the operating cost model. In large production units, this is reflected in long-term reductions in consumption as well as lower thermal stress on the drive. This high-voltage electric motor therefore fits lines operating continuously and requiring repeatable operation without fluctuations.
The output characteristics are suitable for pumping units, compressor stations, crushing lines, mixing equipment and heavily loaded conveyors. The same principle is valued by OEM manufacturers who need to account for reserve capacity in efficiency and cooling balance when designing technological units. For such operations, a 6000 V electric motor is a natural choice, especially when the goal is to limit operating losses without changing process output.
Compact 6 kV motor in a 355 mm frame
The design with a shaft height of 355 mm helps maintain a favourable ratio between installation dimensions and available output. In practice, this simplifies integration into assemblies where space in the machine room or technological block is limited but the drive must still transmit high torque. For this reason, the compact 6 kV motor also performs well in projects where power density within the H17R Compact PRO-HV series is monitored.
The main advantage is the ability to deliver full output in a space that would otherwise require larger structural modifications to the technology layout. This helps during modernization of mining conveyors, rolling-station drives, pumping-system discharge applications, boiler-house fans and compaction lines. Production continuity can therefore be maintained even when replacing older machines.
Voltage selection for different project standards
The ability to adapt the voltage level simplifies use in plants with different infrastructure and internal standards for HV electric motors. The design makes it possible to engineer the drive for compatibility with 3 300 V, 6 000 V, 10 000 V or 11 000 V levels, simplifying procurement in international projects. This shortens the time between design and installation of the entire drive node.
This flexibility is valuable when replacing equipment in refineries, dewatering pumps in mines, extraction fans, mixers in chemical lines and compressors for pressurized distribution systems. In repeatable projects across plants, it reduces the need for modifications to switchgear and transformer fields.
Winding precision and temperature monitoring
Monitoring the condition of bearings and windings is also important for long-term operation. The motor is therefore equipped with temperature sensing that helps technical teams assess load early and respond to changes in operating conditions. Such a solution increases reliability in applications where not only output but also shutdown predictability is monitored.
The design uses copper strip in the rotor cage, 6322-C3 bearings on both the DE and NDE sides, insulation class F and temperature rise B. With a rotor moment of inertia of 7,5 kg·m² and a weight of 3350 kg, this machine is prepared for robust industrial loading. In operations with frequent starts and stable loading, it is therefore also suitable for precise technological applications such as rotary dryers, marine pumps, mixing reactors, granulators and turbo fans. Available accessories further include 6 x PT100 in the winding, 1 x PT100 in the NDE bearing, 1 x PT100 in the DE bearing, an anti-condensation heater and 3 x PTC thermistor.
Operation for large factories and OEM solutions
The H17R Compact PRO-HV model is suitable for operators addressing long-term drive reliability in relation to service logistics and spare parts. In large-factory environments, consistent torque of 2839 Nm, rated current of 28,8 A, power factor of 0,78 and efficiency of 94,7 % are particularly valued because these values directly enter into the design of power distribution, protection and cooling. For OEM manufacturers, it is important that the motor can be integrated into the overall unit without unnecessary compromises in space or energy balance.
It is used to drive cement mills, ore crushers, high-capacity fans, cooling-water pumping stations, compressor sets, drying drums, winding systems, mixing equipment and conveyor routes with continuous operation. In such applications, the decisive factor is whether the drive can handle peak loading without overheating or unplanned intervention. If the project requires confidence in both supply and subsequent operation, order the solution in good time and take advantage of current availability for rapid implementation.
