The H27R 5001-4-6 electric motor with an output of 1400 kW is intended for large industrial drives where stable running, efficient use of energy and reliability during long operating cycles are decisive. This 1400 rpm electric motor operates at a rated speed of 1492 rpm, reaches efficiency of 96 % and a power factor of 0,9, which in practice translates into lower operating losses and better economy in heavy drive technology.
Economical operation under high load
The design is intended for continuous loading in applications requiring high energy efficiency and precise connection to the process. IE4 level supports economical continuous operation especially where the motor runs long hours under stable or changing load. Rated current of 156,4 A and rated torque of 8961 Nm provide reserve for robust process drives that must not lose output during load peaks.
Stable starting and drive protection
When designing starting and protection, starting torque of 0,8 times the rated torque, breakdown torque of 2,4 times the rated torque and starting current of 6,2 times the rated current must be considered. In practice, this simplifies selection of the power supply, protective equipment and coordination with the distribution system, especially in large rotating systems with high inertia.
- Power parameters support smooth operation of large pumps where pressure stability and long-term reliability are important.
- For crushing lines, torque reserve provides a suitable basis for repeated starts under load.
- In compressor stations, it helps maintain predictable behaviour with variable process demand.
- On conveyors with a high material mass, efficient operation reduces energy demand per unit transported.
- In fan blocks for large technological systems, it supports a stable operating regime during long cycles.
Robust design for installation and service
The welded steel frame provides high rigidity at a favourable weight while simplifying transport and installation of the motor in confined mounting conditions. A package weight of 5640 kg and rotor inertia of 51,0 kg·m² must be included in sizing the base, connection to the gearbox and acceleration time of the complete assembly.
Bearings and thermal supervision in continuous operation
On the DE side, bearing NU238-C3+6040-C3 is used and on the NDE side bearing NU230-C3, supporting long-term operation under high loading. Standard thermal protection and monitoring in the form of PT100 sensors, PTC thermistors and anti-condensation heating help detect temperature deviations early and limit the risk of downtime. Insulation class F together with temperature rise B increases winding resistance under demanding operation, and load inertia of 684,0 kg·m² should be considered in every design of starting for a large process.
Typical deployment in heavy industry
The model is used in cement mills, steelworks fans, raw-material conveyors, water pumping stations, compressed-air compressors, flocculation mixers, mine crushers, aeration units, paper winders and energy cooling circuits. In each of these solutions, stable torque, high efficiency and readiness for long-term loading help meet the expectations of operators of large factories.
